Terms & Conditions.

The agreement between you and Funerals & Tech Limited for your use of Fyldit.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Security Overview and Pricing & Refund Policy, form the complete agreement between you and Funerals & Tech Limited for your use of Fyldit. All policies are available at fyldit.com/legal.

1. About Fyldit

Fyldit is a secure, zero-knowledge life admin vault that helps individuals and families store, organise and share important documents. It is operated by Funerals & Tech Limited, registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre, United Arab Emirates.

Fyldit is available as a web application and Progressive Web App (PWA) at fyldit.com. Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon. By creating an account or using Fyldit, you agree to these Terms. If any applicable law conflicts with these Terms, the law prevails.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract. If you create a vault on behalf of another person, you confirm you have authority to do so and accept responsibility for that use.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must:

  • Use a strong password of at least 12 characters including uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters.
  • Keep your password, one-time codes and recovery shares confidential — never share them with anyone.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) or passkeys where available. We strongly recommend this.
  • Notify us immediately at support@fyldit.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Your Vault and Life Packs

4.1 Your content is yours

We claim no ownership over files, notes or documents you store in Fyldit.

4.2 Zero-knowledge encryption

Every file is encrypted on your device before upload. Your master key is derived locally and is never transmitted to our servers. We cannot read your vault content.

4.3 Life Packs

Fyldit organises your vault across 9 Life Packs: Home & Family, Money & Banking, Work & Income, Travel & Transport, Legal & Legacy, Education & Qualifications, Health & Care, Identity & Status, and Digital & Access. You choose which Packs to use and what to add to them.

4.4 Acceptable content

You must only upload lawful content that you have the right to store and share. You must not use Fyldit to store or share:

  • Illegal content or content facilitating criminal activity.
  • Malware, viruses or harmful code.
  • Content that harasses, threatens or exploits others.
  • Content infringing third-party intellectual property rights.

Full details are in our Acceptable Use Policy at fyldit.com/legal.

6. Unlock on Death and Unlock on Incapacity

You can choose to release specific vault items to a named recipient after your death, or grant trusted contact access if you become incapacitated. Both features are off by default and must be enabled by you.

Before granting access, we will verify the relevant event, check the recipient's identity, apply the challenge window you have set, and may require supporting evidence such as a death certificate or medical documentation.

We may pause, restrict or refuse access if there is a dispute, conflicting evidence, suspected fraud or a court order. Fyldit does not decide inheritance rights, probate rights or family disputes — these must be resolved through appropriate legal channels.

7. Trusted Contacts, Circle and Vault Recovery

When you add a trusted contact, you confirm it is appropriate for us to process their contact details for the features you enable. We may contact them to invite them to participate, verify their role and manage sharing or recovery workflows.

Vault recovery uses cryptographic key fragments distributed to trusted contacts. No single contact holds a complete key. If you lose access, your contacts can combine their fragments to restore it. Fyldit is not involved in this process — the security stays with you and your Circle.

11. External Document Sharing

Fyldit may allow you to share a document with an external recipient who does not have a Fyldit account. When you do this, you instruct us to process the selected document to complete your sharing request.

You are responsible for checking recipient details before sharing. Once a document is delivered, Fyldit cannot control how the recipient stores, forwards or uses it. We are not responsible for a recipient's handling of a document after it has been delivered in accordance with your instruction.

12. Acceptable Use

You must use Fyldit lawfully, honestly and for its intended purpose. You must not:

  • Attempt to bypass, disable or interfere with security or encryption features.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse Fyldit or fail to pay for your subscription. We will give you reasonable notice before taking permanent action unless the breach poses an immediate risk.

When your plan ends, you have 30 days to download your content (unless a legal hold applies). After that, we begin deletion. Backups are overwritten on our normal rotation cycle.

14. Legal Holds

If we receive a lawful order or a dispute arises about ownership, access or inheritance, we may place a legal hold on content. During a legal hold we suspend deletion, sharing and Unlock on Death or Unlock on Incapacity release until the matter is resolved.

15. Intellectual Property

We own the Fyldit service, software, brand and all Life Pack structures and names. You may not copy, reverse-engineer or access Fyldit by means not expressly authorised. These Terms grant you no rights over our intellectual property.

16. Warranties and Liability

We provide Fyldit with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that the service will always be available or error-free. Always keep your own copies of important documents.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims arising in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for Fyldit in that period, or USD 100 if you use the free trial or any free tier. This limit does not apply to death, personal injury, fraud or where the law does not permit such limits.

17. Consumer Cancellation

Where local law provides a cooling-off period after sign-up, you may cancel within that time. If you requested immediate access and cancel during the cooling-off period, we may charge a proportionate amount for the time and features already used. See our Pricing & Refund Policy for full details.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Fyldit or the law. We will publish the updated version with its effective date. If a change is material, we will give you advance notice. If you do not agree, you may stop using Fyldit before the change takes effect.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the DIFC, unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
